Alistair Rutherford

Alistair Rutherford is one of the founders of ARCO, alongside Louise and colleagues in 2015. He began teaching as part of the project as a student teacher and visited South Africa frequently between 2016-2019. He raised thousands of pounds through fundraising through running, including two Guinness world records in his “Running Viola” costume. Alistair subsequently became a Research Assistant at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to support the development of the project between 2018-2020. He supported the exchange of many students and teachers between the U.K. and South Africa. He gained great experience in developing the resources and training available in distance learning pedagogy for both students within MICM and RBC strings. Alistair is now a Supply Chain Compliance Manager for Vitaflo - a Nestlé Health Science company based in Liverpool. He has just returned to the U.K. following a successful year spent in a Global Procurement Role in Lausanne, Switzerland for the International Nestlé Health Science Business.
